Round 21 in the AFL
Round 21 opened with Geelong's 97-72 win over Collingwood at the MCG, a result that keeps the Cats fifth and inside the top six that goes straight to the finals. Collingwood stay ninth, in the group that plays the wildcard round. Fremantle lead the ladder on 68 points, clear of Sydney (56), Hawthorn (54) and Brisbane (52). The tightest read is around the cutoff, where Geelong, Adelaide, Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs are all level on 48 and separated only by percentage, with sixth through eighth still in the balance.
Fremantle host the Western Bulldogs on Friday at 8:10 pm AET with the Dogs' top-six standing at stake, the market rating Fremantle at 1.11 and the Bulldogs at 6.75. On Saturday at 1:05 pm AET, tenth-placed St Kilda host Sydney, with the Saints at 2.7 and the Swans at 1.47. Gold Coast host Melbourne on Sunday at 3:15 pm AET, where Bet Right has the Suns at 2.3 and the Demons at 1.62.
