Round 22 in the NRL
Round 22 is all about the top eight, with the finals cutoff sitting right on the line. The completed Thursday match saw the Sydney Roosters overwhelm the North Queensland Cowboys 82-12 in Townsville, lifting Sydney level with Penrith at 34 points. That result leaves the Cowboys clinging to eighth on 26, the final spot inside the finals zone, with the Dolphins (5th), South Sydney (6th) and Newcastle (7th) all in range and every remaining fixture carrying premiership implications.
The pick of what is left starts on Saturday 1 August at 7:35 pm AET, when the Brisbane Broncos host the Newcastle Knights at Suncorp, the market rating the hosts at 1.47 and the visitors at 2.70. On Sunday 2 August at 2:00 pm AET, the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks host South Sydney at Ocean Protect Stadium, with Bet Right pricing Cronulla at 1.28 and the Rabbitohs at 3.7.
